Dental Implants

A dental implant is a small screw made from titanium – a substance that the body can easily tolerate – and is used to replace the root of a natural tooth that is missing.

The implant is inserted directly into the bone, which then grows around the surface of the implant, anchoring it solidly in place. Once the healing process is complete, the tooth can then be reconstructed in the form of a crown, bridge or denture.

Acting just like a root, the dental implant provides a stable foundation for the insertion of the tooth, thus making it possible for the patient to eat, talk and smile without giving their teeth a second thought.

Compared to traditional methods, teeth replaced using implants offer a more comfortable, more durable solution.

Components of a dental implant:

Titanium implants
A dental implant is a titanium screw that is inserted into the bone as a replacement for the root of the missing tooth. The length and thickness of the dental implant depend on the quantity and dimensions of the patient's bone tissue.

Abutment
The abutment is a ceramic or titanium component used to ensure that the dental implant and the crown fit perfectly together, it cause made of titanium, gold

Crowns, bridges and full sets of dentures
Once the implant and the abutment have been inserted, the dentist can then add a crown, a bridge containing several teeth or a full set of maxillary or mandibular dentures.
